So, there’s this winery-bar in Croatia. Its owners are preparing a new experience for patrons, which will allow them to visit the wine cellar to pick their own bottle. The process will involve scuba gear.

Reuters reports that the two Croatian bar owners first decided to store their wine in the Adriatic sea in 2009. It took them three years to perfect the practice, as sea water would leak into the bottles or sun would reach them, despite being stored at 65 feet beneath the surface of the Adriatic sea.

Visit the Edivo Underwater Winery in Croatia (there are 3 locations). For adventurous wine and sea lovers we offer a unique experience of visiting one of our underwater cellars in Žuljana and Dubrovnik. A limited number of Navis Mysterium bottles and amphorae are kept in a sunken boat close to Žuljana. We organize at request supervised dives where you can enjoy in spectacular undersea scenery and see first-hand our wine cellar.

Edivo also offers wine tastings of excellent wine while getting familiar with the production process of our undersea wine Navis Mysterium.
